I just wanted to send another short personal message today to share that my daughter Sadie is now one and a half months old. Time flies! Haha.
Time really does fly -- my foundational course “Core Concepts of English” is 8 years old this summer. I wouldn’t have imagined that close to 7,000 students would take the course in the intervening years while I started our family.
In these 8 years, I have learnt a lot through interacting with students and their questions -- but my teaching philosophy and purpose have not changed. I am still as committed as ever (as in my passionate twenties!) to helping students who want to learn to see foreign languages -- and specifically English -- as clear systems that can be understood with the right tools and framework.
