1. Fill in the blanks with the appropriate grammatical concepts for the basic structure of English clauses and sentences.

A complete (finite) clause must have at least a [subject] and a [finite verb] that [agrees] with it. Other basic building blocks of a clause are [objects] and many different types of [modifiers] .
